Discover Argos’ new free-to-air streaming service: affordable alternatives to Sky Glass now on sale | Daily record

Sky’s innovative Glass TV is changing the game for UK households with its antenna-free internet streaming service.

Available now, this 4K screen brings sports, movies and entertainment right into your living room, and its easy setup has made it a hit.

However, Sky Glass has one catch – adding extra channels can increase the monthly cost to £26, potentially leading to higher bills.

But now there’s Freely, a new player in the streaming market that won’t cost you a penny. Launched last month, Freely comes packed with features such as a comprehensive TV scheduler, the ability to pause live and personalized recommendations.

It even offers a mini guide for a quick look at what’s current and next. For those tempted by the prospect of free live TV without an aerial, many TVs now come with Freely pre-installed, mirroring Sky Glass’s approach. These TVs are rapidly gaining popularity, reports the Mirror.

Retail giant Argos recently announced a price cut on these top-of-the-range TVs and it seems customers can’t get enough. Some Freely equipped models are listed as “in demand” and “selling fast”.

Take, for example, the Hisense 50 inch 50E78NQTUK Smart 4k UHD HDR TV. Its starting price earlier this month was £599, but it has already been reduced to just £379. • VIEW THE OFFER HERE

If that sounds too much for your living room, there’s also a deal on the Hisense 43-inch Freely TV which is now just £329 – down from £519 • VIEW THE DEAL HERE
